This short hike takes you to the site of the airplane crash in Los Potrerillos, located in the foothills of the Andes. It’s ideal for those looking for exercise and mountain walking, offering beautiful views of the surrounding mountain range.
The wreckage of the plane is located just before reaching Potrerillos, on the left side of Route 7. Excursions can be done in any season and typically take about half a day.
To begin the journey, you’ll need to drive to the area near Lake Potrerillos, close to the Origen de I bar, where parking is available along the route.
